What we do
- Take your enquiry, plus a few details about your credit history and what you want to borrow.
- Match you with one FCA-authorised mortgage adviser who works with adverse credit cases.
- Pass your details to that adviser only, never a panel and never a mailing list.
- Charge you nothing for the introduction.
What we don't do
- Give mortgage advice, or recommend a specific lender or mortgage product.
- Charge you a fee, or ask you for payment of any kind.
- Handle your mortgage application or any of the legal work.
How we're paid
We're paid by the adviser we introduce you to. That's why the introduction costs you nothing, and it's why we only work with advisers authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. If your adviser charges a fee for their work, they have to agree the amount with you in writing before anything goes ahead.
Who runs this site
Adverse Credit Mortgages is a trading name of Charlotte Wood, Stourbridge, DY8 5TF. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office as a data controller under registration number ZC278418, and we handle your information under UK data protection law. Read the privacy notice for what we collect and what happens to it.
If something goes wrong
Complain to your adviser's firm first. If it isn't resolved, you can take it to the Financial Ombudsman Service at financial-ombudsman.org.uk. That route exists precisely because the advice you receive comes from a regulated firm.
